If you do not know the answer to this question, you probably do not. 32 -bit and 64-bit versions of Windows is very similar to each other, so that each version of the OS can not be distinguished easily. Some of the problems discussed in this article, are disappointing, especially given the small increase in productivity during the transition to 64-bit version of Windows (and potentially the lack of growth). However, there are several key points that should be taken into account.

  • 64-bit OS offers more advantages than disadvantages, especially support for configurations with more than 3 GB of memory, which in light of the low-cost 8-GB kits look more attractive.
  • 64-bit operating system works much the same as the 32-bit systems with the exception of some high-end applications.
  • The situation with the drivers in recent months has improved, but be prepared to face problems finding 64-bit drivers for some hardware.
  • Find the driver for the notebook can still be problematic.
  • There is nothing wrong with using 32-bit versions of Windows, but keep in mind the fact that the 64-bit version will require a complete reinstallation (including annexes).
  • Any configuration with the system partition larger than 2 TB requires the use of EFI instead of a BIOS to load the operating system.
  • Sets memory to 4 or even 8 GB of today are very affordable, with a similar volume noticeably faster system performance due to reduced calls to the paging file and the work function SuperFetch on Windows 7/Vista.
  • Enthusiasts are urged to move to 64-bit system, even though doing so will have to replace the old peripherals or hardware.
  • 64-bit environment on the laptop has less meaning, because the platform is usually limited memory capacity of 4 GB. However, if you have all the necessary drivers, we recommend that you make this transition to enhance productivity.
  • Now use of 64-bit system is completely safe if you buy a new PC or laptop, especially if it is already included.

    The main advantage for 64bit is that it supports installation of both 32bit/64bit software’s whereas the 32bit lacks support for 64bit, which means you cannot install 64bit Applications on 32bit Platform, 64bit performs calculations faster, increase memory buffers and huge performance improvement by up-to 30% as compared to 32bit, so it means that 64bit works greater and more efficiently.

    I think for now we should stick to 32bit versions for all the software application support/compatibility
    we have at the moment compared to 64bit versions. I only see benifits from 64Bit version if
    you require very high performance/memory intensive applications like scientific & engineering
    applications. If 64bit application development speeds up steadily which is happening already,
    then it would make sense to me to only perchase a 64bit Os in 4-5 years. But I could
    be entirely wrong. You need to do plenty of research before you decide!

    64 bit is not faster than 32 bit. The only difference in those two is a bus. 64 can process double data, but it’s not faster in any way. You CPU Going to work as fast as the clock cycles allow on it. It’s the same processing power, regardless of the bus. 64 bit is better at handling large and complex applications and other programs, to include better compiling. But 32 bit is just as fast. All it comes down to is how fast your CPU. That’s all.
